The role of Student Progression Advisor/Administrator is a key student facing role within the Student Experience Team. You will have the opportunity daily to make a difference to the lives of our students. You will ensure they can fully reach their potential by removing the barriers that affect their ability to engage in all aspects of university life.

You will work closely with academic and other key school staff in providing pro – active and targeted support interventions for improving retention and progression.

A key function of the role is to ensure that students are effectively accessing the pastoral and support services provided by the School and Student Experience and Support services.

 

So, what will the role involve?

  • Working as part of a team to deliver an outstanding student experience and high levels of student satisfaction.
  • Working in collaboration with academic colleagues in order to ensure that necessary pastoral support activities are targeted appropriately within the school.
  • Providing advice and guidance to students which directs and connects them to, relevant support services from both internal and external providers.
  • Using key student data and colleague referrals to inform and deliver student intervention strategies.
  • Proactively engaging with students who require short and long term intervention and maintaining a highly active student facing presence within the school.
  • Supporting and delivering activities tailored to the school’s specific needs and priorities that identify and investigate student non- engagement.
