Our School of Health & Society is one of the largest providers of health and society subjects and known for our track record of collaborating with a wide range of industry partners across health and social care to produce highly skilled graduates with real work experience. We are at an interesting time in the Higher Education sector, there is significant change in terms of oversight, student expectations and changing demographics and we are trying to do things differently so that we stay ahead of these changes.  Our connection to industry is stronger than ever and we're proud to have more partnerships with SMEs than any other Greater Manchester University. It's everything we do and the way we do everything. 

The University continues to make significant investment in the resources for simulation-based learning and skills acquisition and the School has excellent resources and plans for further development. Practice based learning is a core element of our approach to relevant and meaningful learning across all the programmes we deliver and across all levels. 

We are now looking for an experienced health professional to join our School as Senior Lecturer and Head of Simulation. This exciting role will lead on delivering high quality simulation and inter professional education across health and society programmes.

So, what will the role involve?

 

·       Lead the development and deployment of the School simulation strategy  

·       Contribute to our thinking and be challenging on how Salford can transform the way it addresses simulation-based education 

·       Further develop interprofessional education within simulation-based education

·       Contribute to research and enterprise activity within simulation-based education.

·       To enhance the student experience at Salford in order to improve internationalisation, retention, academic success and graduate employability.
