Reader in Adult Nursing

The School of Health and Society is looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the role of Reader in Adult Nursing.

Nursing plays a significant role within our School, and there is a wealth of experience and expertise to provide a secure foundation for further development in research, innovation, teaching and learning. We are therefore seeking an established nurse academic who will contribute to the expansion of research, innovation and scholarship in the Directorate of Nursing and Midwifery. The successful candidate will have a commitment to collaborative working, staff development and have an engaging leadership style.  The post-holder will provide key research leadership within the Directorate, working with other Readers, being managed and led by the Directorate Professorial Lead.

As a Reader in Adult Nursing you will be supported to advance your own career whilst contributing to our research, innovation and entrepreneurial culture. You will develop plans and deliver objectives that align with the School research and innovation strategy, and the Directorate development plans.

The post holder must be a Registered Adult Nurse. Whilst we are open in terms of research focus, we would be particularly interested in candidates with expertise in applied health research, public health and health inclusion.

In recognition of our commitment to create a diverse team that draws from our widest talent pool we would particularly encourage applications from groups who are currently under-represented at this level which includes individuals from Ethnic Minority Groups.

The dates for interview are anticipated to be week commencing 28th November 2022

Should you be shortlisted, you will be advised which day you need to attend for interview.
