A bit about Editing, Post Production and VFX courses at MediaCityUK…

BA (Hons.) TV & Radio, MA Post Production and Post Production & VFX are hands-on courses that fuse practice and theory to produce students who work collaboratively with colleagues in a range of other subject areas. For the first time in September 2021 we will have a third year Post Production & VFX cohort, who will be working both in groups and individually across a range of projects, including docs, drama, ads, social media and specialist post-production areas. TV & MA students require teaching on AVID. 

Media City UK students continue to succeed in festivals and competitions, and for the past two years have won in several categories of the RTS Student awards and shown work at International Film Festivals . We also offer a very successful MA/PGDip Postgraduate programme in Post Production where students work with other MA students in Documentary Production, Drama, and Wildlife.

Our degrees focus on creativity in practice, research and project work with industry and fosters collaboration between different subject disciplines.

So, what will the role involve?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational Lecturer in Editing and Post Production with a proven track record in professional industry practice as well as some experience of academic teaching at HE level.

You will be an excellent team player, communicator and problem solver who is capable of tackling the complex technical, logistical and creative demands of our extensive range of media programme. You will be highly organised, hard-working with experience of teaching and learning at HE level.

In addition, you will initiate and/or develop new creative opportunities in line with the University’s strategic ambitions of collaboration with industry and enhancing our teaching and learning provision.

Our media degrees at MediaCityUK focus on creativity in practice, project work with industry and collaboration across disciplines complemented by contemporary critical approaches to media theory and research This is a fast-moving, high-profile media environment and there are plenty of opportunities for you to develop your own research on both a national and international stage.

Please note starting salary for this position is £42,149 to £50,296 per annum, pro rata.
