A bit about our Team…

The mission of the Directorate of Student and Academic Services (DSAS) is to enhance the student experience from recruitment to graduation by transforming the University’s administrative processes and systems. Our processes capture and manage essential data throughout the student journey to become a strategic asset in the form of management information. We are at an interesting time in the Higher Education sector, there is significant change in terms of oversight, student expectations and changing demographics and we are trying to do things differently so that we stay ahead of these changes.

So what will the role involve?

The post holder will work within the Home Office Compliance Team and the wider university to provide Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies to applicants and students; administer Check and Send Student visa appointments to applicants and students; act as compliance and CAS support and deliver important messages to students to prevent them becoming non-compliant.

The postholder will develop collaborative working relationships to ensure we are fulfilling our role as a Student Route sponsor and only issuing CAS to students who we believe can make a successful Student visa application.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate exemplary team working skills, a commitment to service excellence and the capacity to work flexibly and effectively with key stakeholders. They will be expected to demonstrate strong organisational and interpersonal skills, well developed personal management skills and to be creative, energetic, open and collaborative.

You are very welcome to contact Richard Melia at R.D.Melia@salford.ac.uk for an informal discussion about this post.

Within your cover letter/personal statement it is suggested that you outline how you meet the criteria listed in the person specification. Please provide information of any additional qualification and experience relevant to the role.
