The University of Salford is developing a brewery and bakery along the Crescent in Salford. This development is the first of many placemaking activities in a joint University and Salford City Council masterplan for the area.

We are looking for an exceptionally talented Assistant Head Baker who can support with the development of a new bakery venture and the innovation and development of new products working alongside our Head Baker, students, and academics.

We seek an individual who can support the innovation and development of new and exciting products as well as drive the highest quality and work collaboratively, jointly located brewery and colleagues across the University.

The successful candidate must therefore be a proven, proficient, and imaginative worker within a large team, a proficient baker and have passion and inventiveness as key elements of their core baking and demonstrate first class customer service, time management and organizational skills, together with a high level of self-motivation.

About the Estates and Facilities Division

Estates and Facilities has a vision to co-create excellent learning, working and living environments that fully engage staff, students, visitors and industry and that facilitates the sharing of knowledge and information. Utilising the resources of more than 300 directly employed staff, supported by numerous external contractors, the Estates & Facilities Services element of the Directorate is responsible for delivering a full estates and facilities management service to the University, including capital development, property maintenance, cleaning, security, caretaking and landscaping.
