A bit about us…

Campus and Student Life comprises Student Inclusion and Engagement, Residential and Campus Life, and Welcome, Transition and Events, and is accountable for a broad range of campus focused infrastructure and operations that support and enhance the experience of the increasingly diverse student population at the University of Salford.

 

Working closely with colleagues from across the University and external partners, team deliver an integrated, coordinated approach to the development and delivery of an infrastructure which supports and empowers students from all backgrounds to maximise their time at university.   Student conduct is an essential element of a harmonious, supportive and safe campus community and of which this role is central to. The operational management of the Student Misconduct procedure is a key component of this infrastructure.

 

This new role, developed to ensure that the operational management and oversight of the Student Misconduct policy and procedure are managed effectively, will ensure that we provide the best student support experience whilst avoiding any potential conflict of interest. The role holder will have considerable opportunities to further shape and develop the role to ensure that we are providing an equitable and robust process. 

 

The role…

We are looking for someone who can put in place innovative, inclusive, and sector leading management of our student misconduct processes, and can think outside the box to deliver it.

 

Working closely with colleagues across the University who deliver support for students involved in misconduct, but also working closely with the other members of the team to set the direction of these processes, developing and using feedback from stakeholders to continuously review what we are doing. Most importantly, you will also be helping to redesign the way we do things to ensure that our campuses are safe, inclusive and healthy places to be.
