The Estates and Facilities Division at the University of Salford are looking for a passionate, driven and experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager to help us realise our goals.

Your experience and knowledge of technical and policy approaches to environmental management and sustainability will be instrumental in the University achieving its long-term sustainability strategy. 

Working closely with estates facilities maintenance and capital projects teams, we are looking for someone with extensive experience of environmental management and project work in non-domestic buildings. Supported by our central Sustainability Team and working alongside our Carbon and Energy Manager, you will drive our operational environmental strategy. You will co-lead our Environmental and Energy Management System ensuring that we achieve continual improvement and maintain our certifications. You will also be involved supporting staff and students in project work and awareness-raising.

To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced environmental manager, knowledge and experience of environmental management systems is essential.  With problem-solving skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team and a strong ability to influence others in sustainability matters, you will be expected to operate in a highly professional manner, building and maintaining effective relationships across the University.
