Join the North England Robotics Innovation Centre Team, at the University of Salford

We have exciting vacancies in our NERIC project team for motivated, capable Industry Fellows, where you can design and implement innovative, industry-led research projects in an established, vibrant research environment.  

NERIC will be an internationally acclaimed research and innovation ‘go-to’ facility, and provider of Robotics / autonomous systems solutions for SMEs.

We’ll be focused on 3 sectors of food and drink, healthcare, and intelligent mobility.

Alongside an industrial collaboration space, NERIC will serve as a hub for The University of Salford’s Robotics and Autonomous Systems Specialists who will be working with SMEs around the country to provide solution development, design, testing, and validation of digital innovation. 

We’ll be involved in robotics and autonomous systems for

• Intelligent infrastructure
• Digital automation and supply chain improvement
• Health, wellbeing, and integrated care technologies

In the wake of the Covid-19 crisis, NERIC will be an integral part of facilitating recovery, as businesses look for new and innovative solutions at an accelerated pace.

We will link academic excellence with issues facing SMEs, providing facilities, expertise and equipment to help them introduce new technologies in innovative ways.

The Centre will develop solutions to problems that can be matured for everyday use - technologies that become an essential part of how we all work and live. 

The successful candidates will also contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals, as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project.
