We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our Products and Applications team.

You will work closely with delivery leads, projects managers and architects, to provide technical guidance, reporting and advice on the best development methodologies.  

You will write code, analyse data, and contribute to the design and implementation of software. 

You will spend approximately 70% of your time on work that is project-focused.

Some ongoing projects include cloud migration, analytics integrations, and new regulatory changes, and are just a small part of a large portfolio of projects with significant impact to the organisation, and through-work already planned at least until 2024.

We are a Microsoft environment and are keen to speak with people who have Azure DevOps skills.

We are also keen to hear from you if you are skilled in C# - we can support you as you develop your Azure skills in the role. 

 

Background & Experience

  • Experienced in the transition to a DevOps culture and mindset, adapting and operating organisational processes
  • Technical DevOps capabilities:  implementing practices such as continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), infrastructure as code, monitoring and logging, communication and collaboration with team and wider business
  • Continuous improvement, increased use of automation to drive velocity, quality, scalability, security
  • We are keen to hear from people with experience working to Agile methodologies
  • Microsoft technological environment: C#, Azure, .NET etc

At the core, we provide IT services to the University’s students, academics and professionals, but the reality is we do so much more than that! We explore new technologies, we strive to innovate whilst all along, placing a strong focus around improving the customer experience. 

The Digital Products and Applications team within Digital IT (DIT) are responsible for all the stages involved in bringing a product from concept or idea through to production release and beyond, supporting and incorporating the entire journey.  

Designing, developing, and testing functionality in collaboration with colleagues throughout the University, third party suppliers and strategic partners.

The Digital Products and Apps Team is made up of the following skills: Development, Testing, Application Support and User Experience.
