A bit about the School of Arts, Media & Creative Technology.....

We're one of the leading centres for practice-based education in the creative disciplines within the North West. We are theheart of creativity in Salford, offering a programme of events that encourage engagement with our staff, students, industry and the local community.

Our £55 million New Adelphi flagship buildingoffers a diverse range of spaces and equipment to suit all creative requirements and we are also the only UK university to have a campus at MediaCityUK - an international media hub with neighbours such as the BBC and ITV , with industry-standard facilities that offers a professional environment for you to teach and our students to learn.

The school has a strong legacy of successful alumni across a range of fields, including actors, stand-up comedians, musicians, journalists and designers.

We now wish to appoint an enthusiastic Creative Technical Assistant  to work with our Media & Technical Equipment Store  by sharing our passion for providing continuous support to our diverse university community.

So what will the role involve?

The role holder will provide day to day delivery of the loan of specialist Broadcast Media & Journalism equipment to staff and students through the Media & Technical Equipment Store. The role also includes responsibility for, preparation and maintenance of equipment and administration and data collection support.

You will support the operational delivery of our Media & Technical Equipment Store, including our equipment loan service, and work with the wider Technical Services Team to maintain, organise and develop facilities for the programme.

We want you to join our team and help us make a real difference to our students’ journey. We want you to challenge us and use your own initiative to respond to the changes of the modern world. Being part of a team is important to us and we are looking for a good team player who will work collaboratively to support our students and the wider community.

We positively welcome applications from Women and from our BAME community who are currently underrepresented within our Technical Community.

To help you, we have wide ranging colleague support networks, promoting awareness events throughout the year and giving you the opportunity to share your experiences with others. Our extensive faith centre facilities reflect our continuing commitment to support the student and colleague experience and the beliefs and values you bring to our community.
