Associate Dean – Equity, Diversity & Inclusion

(Fixed Term – 2 years initially)

We are now seeking to appoint an Associate Dean for Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI)

The role reports to the Dean of School and will be a key member of the School’s Executive Team.   

You will be working closely with wider School management teams and colleagues to co-create and build coalitions for change and communities of practice. Championing EDI objectives at a School Executive level, using constructive challenge to bring positive change and action throughout the School, as well as planning, developing, and embedding structures to support the achievement of EDI targets, actions and initiatives, will all be key elements of the role. 

As a University we have a deep-rooted commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and we are energetically developing and implementing new policies and practices to promote these values across all areas.

We are seeking with understanding and experience of contemporary EDI challenges, the ability to build effective working relationships across a range of stakeholders, as well as being able to influence decision-making.   

Ideally you will have some experience of working in higher education, however we are also keen to hear from candidates from other sectors with relevant experience.
