Are you passionate about customer service? Are you resilient and a strong team player? Are you looking for a job that will engage you and bring you high levels of job satisfaction? If so, the role of askUS Student Adviser at the University of Salford could be the right one for you.

Based in the flagship team in askUS (the University’s one-stop-shop for student support services, which includes Student Support, Student Registry and Income and Treasury) you will be the first point of contact for customer enquiries through multiple contact points, including face-to-face, live chat, email, telephone and video calling. Passionate about customer care, you will hold our students at the heart of our service, and will constantly look for ways to develop and improve our provision. In return we will invest in your training and development, supporting you to grow your knowledge and experience across the entire askUS service portfolio. Our vision is to deliver innovative and inclusive services, supported by a dedicated team of colleagues who aspire to be the best in the sector, and we’re looking for candidates who want to join us on our journey.

Since September 2018 we have grown our askUS provision; we now offer services to students at the times and in the places that they need us, and our core opening hours are as follows:

Trimester 1 and 2 (September to May)

Monday – Thursday 8am – 8pm

Friday 8am – 5pm

Saturday and Sunday 10am – 6pm

Trimester 3 (June to August)

Monday – Thursday 8am – 6pm

Friday 8am – 5pm

Saturday and Sunday CLOSED

Successful candidates will be required to work shifts within our opening hours, which will be scheduled on a rolling basis – rota’s will be released with at least 4 weeks’ notice.
