The results of the second iteration of the Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF2) recognised the University of Salford’s very high levels of engagement of ‘Working with Business’, which is testament to the University’s longstanding commitment to industry collaboration and demonstrates our far-reaching impact across the region and beyond. To further drive our knowledge exchange, the University are recruiting four Knowledge Exchange Fellows to work within our Schools. The Fellows will enable the sharing and flow of knowledge and expertise between our researchers and their stakeholders, partners and user communities with the aim of generating impact from the University’s research.

We are seeking to appoint one Fellow per School with this role sitting within;

School of Science, Engineering and Environment

Working under the direction of the Associate Deans for Research and Innovation, and Enterprise and Engagement, the Fellows will develop an understanding of the research within the School where they are based, and identify opportunities to exploit research outputs and accelerate knowledge exchange to potential users.

As part of the University’s wider knowledge exchange support community, the Knowledge Exchange Fellows will work closely with colleagues across the Research and Enterprise Directorate to identify and support appropriate knowledge exchange mechanisms including, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, commercialisation, consultancy and public engagement, in addition to identifying potential future impact case studies.

Candidates should have a post graduate research qualification in a relevant discipline and experience of the translation of research into impact.
