Lecturer in Counselling and Psychotherapy

Opportunity

The University of Salford has an exciting new opportunity available for a Lecturer in Counselling & Psychotherapy.  We are looking for a Counsellor and Psychotherapist currently in practice who is also a qualified Supervisor to work with our growing team as a Lecturer and skills practitioner.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with a passion for education who wants the chance to contribute to an evolving curriculum and promote best practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. 

The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching person-centred practice. Ideally you will also have some experience of working with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deliver and assess teaching in PG and UG qualifying courses and provide quality student feedback

• Supervise student projects, including, where appropriate, PGT, and placements 

• Clinically supervise individuals and supervision groups 

• Act as personal tutor to a group of students. 

• Promote equality and diversity for students and staff and sustain an inclusive and supportive study and work environment in accordance with University policy.
